Went in on xmas eve and was glad to see Jesse on the machine. Unfortunately there was no single origin available, but the house blend was a great alternative, both as a ristretto and flat white. Great candy notes, and toffee after taste. The milk was not burnt, so its natural sweetness was... Read more

I visited Dancing Goat café today, tucked just down Little Lonsdale Street off King Street in Melbourne’s bustling CBD. The café is owned by the two Hyde brothers one of whom is the 2009 Victorian Barista Champion and both are equally passionate about serving great quality coffee. The have two... Read more

Address is King St, but you'll find it around the corner in Little Lonsdale. Friendly people and the coffee is excellent.

In October 2010 I left my hometown of Sydney and headed to Melbourne, where I spent three and a half days travelling all over, on my own "coffee crawl".

Dancing Goat was on my list of places to try.
It's a little tricky to find but well worth the effort.

Great spot. Bit hidden but worth it for the fix.

I heard a lot about these guys, and thankfully had the chance to visit. I was extremely impressed! It's kind of hidden in a quietish part of the CBD, but it had certainly made its impression to all those in the area. Crazy morning coffee rush.

The coffee was spectacular! ...... Read more

I went back for my morning tea espresso. Really enjoyed my extra shot flat white at no extra cost.

Food was great, coffee was great, the place was cramped. The staff are friendly. It is really setup for a take away coffee, which is fabulous.

I was recommended this place, what a great recommendation it was! The coffee is great (perfectly textured milk as well), it shows how passionate the barista is about coffee. Fun, friendly staff. Awesome coffee experience, I will definitely be recommending this place!

Dancing Goat is a wonderful cafe , has a lovely buzz and is situated on a quiet side street. The staff are friendly and welcoming , coffee is sweet and smooth and creamy and not a single hint of bitterness, just beautiful. The mini raspberry cake is delicious and worth a try .

These guys are awsome not pretentious always up for a chat and ready to share thier great knowledge about the art of coffee! Sporting 7 seeds always a good option but they don't limit themselves they get singles from all over the place.. A daily dance to the goat for me!

This is my first cup of coffee every morning on the way to work. The boys always know what my order is and have it on the machine as soon as they spot me. The coffee (Veneziano) is always soooo smooth made by what I reckon is Melbourne's best barista's. Easily the best coffee in CBD. A1++++++

Good coffee. Friendly service. Obviously a regular haunt of the local business folk - always a good sign.

After reading all the positive reviews for Dancing Goat I took a colleague to try... after having a little difficulty finding the place (entry from little Lonsdale not King) was welcomed by two surly staff. Deciding to be extra upbeat to see if a smile could be cracked from one of them we... Read more

Based on the reviews here of this cafe, my colleagues and I visited the Dancing Goat on lunch today. While there was not enough room for us to eat here, we skipped to the Japanese place a couple of doors down and planned on returning to taste and see what all the fuss is about.

Fantastic. First cafe we\'ve visited in Melbourne and the coffee was perfect. Smooth, mellow, not a single hint of bitterness, and no grit in the cup at all, and
Latte art to top it all off. You can tell the barista has a passion for coffee, his concentration he puts into every cup is a... Read more

Went to try this place out after reading the reviews. All I can say is big let down, the takeaway latte was no good at all it really just tasted like a cup of milk

Had one coffee. Can\'t wait to have more. You know what goes down well with a coffee? An apricot and date toast of course. Thank you guys.

I don't come to the city often but had a uni exam early and desperatly needed a coffee to hit the spot before it. Going on beanhunter I ventured here and found some great coffee! It was perfect temp for this 8 degree morning and lingered long after I finished it. Wish I could come back more often.
