  Grateful to this place for being one of the few cafes open in the area on a public holiday. It provided me with a needed hit of caffeine to stop me becoming something of a space cadet! However this place has a bit to go in being at the speciality standard of neighbouring espresso spots.

  Beautiful interior and nice addition to a slowly improving Glenferrie Rd, but sadly it didn't live up to expectations.

  Life on Mars isn't the best coffee but it still goes down nicely. The service is quite slow but is friendly and the menu (although I haven't tried the food) looks very nice indeed. I'll be back I'm sure - but hopefully the coffee improves a little :)

  Saturday arvo, didn't have to wait for a table. In fact, there weren't too many people which is a major plus in my book.   Quick stop here a few days ago for coffees only. Staff very friendly. No attitudes! All press coffee was nicely extracted but milk a bit too hot (but most would be happy). Menu looked very good. Nothing spectacular but still worth a return visit.

  Dropped in here last weekend as Liar Liar was too packed. "Life on Mars" - great Bowie track, not a great cafe. Go to Liar Liar.

  I didn't think the coffee was all that flash. I am a fan of allpress so will give it another go.... I thought Breaky was overrated and service wasn't the best.

  Having been back a few times since my first review, I think this cafe deserves an upgrade. The coffee is consistently very good and the service is much better than liar liar, an obvious nearby comparison.

  Good Food, Bitter Coffee. I suspect they leave their grips in the machine so that the grind gets overheated straight away.

  Really lovely Allpress coffee. Good crema on the long black. The right temp, not burning hot like you often get and served in a small cup, low tide size. Great, it will definitely become a fave stopping place for a good coffee.

  Best muffins ever, great coffee. I go there most mornings and the staff are friendly and speedy and treat the regulars very well. Definitely recommend it.

  I Didn't know what to expect from Life on Mars this morning when I went to get coffee, but I walked away with my take away latte very happy and satisfied indeed! Temperature of coffee was perfect.   It's become our regular cafe due to its friendly service, good coffee and value for money. The food is the best thing about it, along with the relaxed vibe and nice fit out. Liar liar probably makes better coffee but LOM is a much better 'local'.
