Loved it. Great syphon. Good is great as well.
What a lovely space! There seems to be a number of good quality french-inspired cafes popping up in the east, and Le Flaneur is most likely to be the best of these for seeking a top-notch coffee. Proud Mary beans (what more can be said?), bright eclectic furniture and interiors, an interesting menu... Read more
1 Short Macchiato
Tony and his staff are wonderful. Coffee is from Proud Mary, and of the highest quality. Single Origin was from El Salvadore, and served perfectly as a short black.
One of my favourites! Just a wonderful place to be - and macaroons to die for
A really nice setting for the cafe. I found it really cozy and pleasing. I've prefer having Proud Mary's beans in Proud Mary itself, but it's still a best place to visit if you're in Hawthorn area. Worth to try!

No need for a review...just go. This bloke is the real deal.
Le Flaneur is a relatively new cafe in the site of the old Ocha restaurant.
It's run by Tony Lin, who was trained by Kirby Berlin at The Maling Room.
It's a lovely space and they're really putting out some excellent coffee.
They're using Proud Mary coffee... Read more
Great service at le flaneur! The food was absolutely flawless. Brioche french toast is a must guyss. I was also content with the coffee but expected more from a Proud Mary bean which are one of my favourites! Wasn't bad or anything but wasnt as full bodied and flavoured as it usually is when its... 2012/May Proud Mary's coffee bean. Tony (barista) execute it at an ideal temperature. Choices of Single origin and filter coffee are well selected too. Cold drip available. Service was attentive. And was impressed by waiting staff's knowledge of food and coffee.
Really enjoyed the brunch coffee also great and the staff were very friendly as well
Winner great job guys

Coffee ok, although $1.50 for baby chino with no chocolate and hardly any froth is a little much. Actually $1.50 for baby chino is just too much, full stop! I prefer Tana Cafe across to road any day.
I came this morning to Le Flaneur to experience a delicious breakfast after debating at home where I would go. A hangover needed to be cured.
I ordered a chai latte, and a serving of scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms, a breakfast which may sound basic but in fact proved to be quite... Read more
Not bad - coffee was okay but staff didn't know what a "Magic" was. Food was good if a little on the cold side when served. Not bad.
The single source coffee is as good as I've had anywhere. Melbourne's serious about its coffee, but Le Flaneur takes coffee to another level.
When Le Flaneur first opened, I found their house blend a little bit overwhelming, now I realise that I had been drinking bland, stale coffee at other cafe's for years. My coffee education however have its down sides of course...can't just grab a coffee on the run anymore. Well done guys.
1 Piccolo, 1 Pour Over
Went to Le Flaneur again today. This place just gets better and better - it is definitely my new favourite. I went with my in-laws who must be the fussiest people in the world, and even they couldn't fault it! Our breakfasts were spot on - tasty, fresh and just the right size. Le Flaneur has... Read more
