I really enjoy this cafe on a sunday. The staff are delightful, and eager to please. The aroma's filtering out of the kitchen are always mouth watering. The coffee is of the highest quality, with house lattes so creamy and sweet, you dont need sugar. The s/o from Java was rich with cocoa notes. I... Read more
What a smashing little cafe! Not only does this cafe pull a fine coffee, it also roasts its own beans, has numerous blends for sale and offers espresso courses!
My coffee was one of the most flavoursome coffees I've had in a long while. Smooth, creamy, tasty, not bitter -- not much... Read more
I've been passing this place for ages and finally sorted myself out and went. It's nice to see a cafe that actually has a sign outside, ie you don't need a gps and good luck to find it.
The atmosphere is pretty good. It seems quite a busy place, without being too crazy or loud.
Coffee was strong and well made just great. Atmosphere is welcoming. Service was very good. A great spot for that sunday layback coffee.
I really like this place. It is everything an awesome cafe should be. It is unassuming, not much signage or street front so it feels a little exclusive (I thought twice about actually putting it on here!) has a great atmosphere, happy workers and jovial service. But most of all the coffee is... Read more
A bit hit and miss and standard of the coffee seems to depend on who is behind the machine. In the 5 or so times I have been here I have had 2 really good long macs, 2 ok lattes and 1 terrible latte.
One of my favourite places in Melbourne. If you like complex espresso blends, Tobys Estate coffees are a must. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The fittout great, yet bizzare. It is like having a coffee in a woolshed surrounded by buggaboo prams and with a giant machine (roaster) in... Read more
Nice cafe good coffee worth a try
The tension of being introduced to a good thing and whether you want to share the knowledge you have been entrusted, or selfishly keep it to be your own 'little precious' as Golum would put it in Lord of the Rings.
Good wins over evil, visit Toby's Estate, you'll love your coffee.
Whenever I go to Barkly square, I get a coffee here. Pretty consistent strong coffee. I like.
I have been here several times, and coffee is consistenly good, can recommend it !

Formally known as Tobys Estate, now known as the Brunswick Foodstore, this place is a real ripper. As I entered the warehouse via a side street, I was quite amazed at what I saw. All middle Eastern Produce was displayed on wonderful shelvings with lots of colour, they really made the place nice and... Read more

This place is my first stop before I go to work every morning, I noticed their main barista was away or he had even LEFT. I stopped coming for a while and yesterday I decided to drop in to see if he was working and to my surprise he was there making coffee with one arm. He told me that he had a... Read more
1 Soy Latte
Great atmosphere with service from people who are really passionate about their coffee and food. Will make any coffee for you to your exact specifications! Beautifully smooth coffee.
Coffee was quite weak but drinkable. When asked for a stronger cup the bitterness of the roast was quite evident. Not bad, just a one note flavour. Menu lacks gluten free or obvious vegetarian/vegan options.
Single origin from India was amazing today. Latte in the house blend was so good we ordered seconds. Barrista Siobhan is obviously a master of the Mirage
An amazing cafe, with fantastic coffee. Tobys Estate. Nothing more to be said.
