Love the ever changing menu of brunch items here,coffee is ok although can be over burnt at times,still worth a visit for the decor and brunch!

Pope Joan can be exceedingly busy at times and waiting is sometimes necessary. This is because it is a lovely cafe and highly popular, especially with the locals. If you're in the area I would recommend it.

We dropped in quickly while driving through the area, and found it to be very busy. I was happy to see the menu had decent priced food, and a $3 espresso by Allpress, which was smoky.

If you ever wanted to try pork belly with scrambled eggs and a hazelnut salad, or crumbed coddled eggs with anchovies and black pudding, then look no further! A slightly left field menu manages to provide twists on regular combination (ie pork belly rather than bacon), and does not disappoint.Read more

The coffee I had here was excellent - well made, with lots of complex nutty flavours coming through. I loved the decor and atmosphere, which has an elegant, understated look with plenty of natural timbers. The staff were friendly too.

Returned to the pope after a year and noticed it has increased in popularity and size, expanding into the adjoining property.

I've just had my first Allpress coffee and it is not disappointing at all. However, the coffee taste lack of strength and aftertaste flavor didn't stay too long. I love the open garden concept inside, and the artificial grass idea is really good. Will try to taste other Allpress cafe to compare.

Great setting with a pretty good coffee. The breakfast was delicious if a little small. I felt the coffee was a little under extracted leaving a slightly underwhelming finish on the palate. Milk was perfect though. Definitely worth a try.

i was so excited to find another Allpress cafe. My flat white was reliably tasty, god strength without any bitterness. Coffees are bigger than standard size, which really only leaves space for one with brekkie.

Had to wait 20 minutes for a table so was mightily thirsty when we finally got one! The food was small in portion, a little overpriced and using fancy ingredients (eg crab omelette) in a tasteless way Coffee was well made, although not brilliant - lacking that little bit of character in the blend.

Good coffee, reasonably strong with very little bitterness and perfectly textured milk. The place itself is very nicely fit out, and the food looked amazing. Definitely worth a visit
