  I was staying up the road and after reading the reviews was keen to try it out. Was very disappointed in the weak, luke warm flavorless cappuccino that was served up. Was almost temped to go back and ask for a re-do but didn't have the time

  Great little place for an excellent coffee. They had an origin roasting right in front of me! Service was fantastic but the atmosphere was a tad dull. My Peru double ristretto was nice and smooth with no hints of bitterness at all. Well worth a visit!

  Tiny hole in the wall. The reviews were very good so thought I'd suss it out. Coffee was very good. I too am a piccolo and it was very good. I come to melb on business and I'll be back .

  excellent single origin coffee roasted on site. staff are friendly and always happy to chat. can get busy in the mornings. my favourite afternoon espresso place!

  I went to Black Velvet after reading about it in the paper. The review was fantastic and so was my experience.   Helpful, friendly, unpretentious, and best of all, GREAT coffee! The guys at Black Velvet really know their stuff. A must visit for any Melbournian who enjoys their coffee.
