It is such a busy cafe even at 11.00am on weekdays. A really nice cafe setup and the coffee was really good. The taste not too intense on the coffee but just a nice aftertaste. So far, the best Allpress coffee i've ever tasted.

We have been going to the Pony since it opened. Over the past twelve months or so, it's been a disappointment every time. We have had to send our coffee back numerous times as its been tepid at best. The service has been exceptionally slow. Today we waited 25 minutes to get our coffee and watched... Read more

What a busy place this is! Food smelt and looked amazing. Coffee by Allpress had a smoky taste (short black, Brazilian single origin), and the house latte was sweet and milky.
Had a latte here this morning.. The glass was too hot to hold unfortunately, and the milk tasted pretty burnt. It's a shame, I love the feel of this place, and the foods delicious, but it just doesn't quite make it on the coffee front.
I love this place. It's a really unique atmosphere. I think it's better than it's bigger brother P&MJ.. it's quainter and the layout and design is better me thinks. It's got buckets of character. These guys really know how to interior design! Lamps, chairs, paintings, old furniture, new furniture..... Read more
Been here a few times now and really enjoy the atmosphere, smooth coffees and great food. I could come here for the scrambled eggs every weekend if they weren't likely to kill me.
It's the kinda place I know I'll order two coffees before I even arrive.
Sad that another... Read more
I went to Snow Pony on the Easter weekend and to my surprise it was very quite and peaceful. I have heard this place can be very busy so to be able to sit down with my wife & two little boys and get prompt and friendly service in such a beautiful cafe was a real treat.

Great looking cafe with what looks to yummy food, but this is about coffee, so I went back twice - I won't be back again.
I took mum to Snow Pony for mother's day, and it was extremely busy. We had to wait for a table.
Once in, we waited quite a while for our coffees to come out, and they had, to dad's disappointment, run out of banana bread.
My poached eggs on spinach with red pepper... Read more
Great food and service, but the coffee was quite disappointing, lacking in taste and left me feeling quite unhappy. I don't know why but I've always felt something was off about this place.

The decor of the place is very nice and the staff are friendly. The coffee I had (latte) was decent, bit hot to start with though
This is really the place to come for breakfast. A lovely little hideaway on Whitehorse Rd. The service and menu are both fantastic - certinally one of the best cafe's in Melbourne.
The coffee however is not the reason to come here. It is servicable, but not anything to write home... Read more
Loved this place!!! I went on the recommendations from here and they did not disappoint! A must visit, a nice alternative to Burke Rd or Glenferrie Rd!
This cafe is pretty nice and the people in this part of the world are lucky. The coffee is smooth and reasonably consistant. The service is ok, with several times being asked if we wanted to order coffee from different staff and being brought the food menu multiple times.

I went to this cafe based on the recommendation from other reviews here on Beanhunter. I can see why people like this place and that is because of its location, how they have decked out the cafe and also the coffee and food. If you don't want to sit inside there is a great strip of tables outside... Read more
Always good coffee, fabulous menu for both breakfast and lunch. The McPony is definitely a highlight.
This is a great place to go if you're looking for a decent coffee in the Balwyn area. The coffee is pretty good depending on who the barista is (but the food is without a doubt some of the best breakfast you'll find in melbourne). The short macs I've tried here haven't been too bad...although I... Read more
Well done to those who've brought us this wonderful cafe. This place has a atmosphere with lots of different places to settle in for a fine coffee. Latte was of great cafe standard, smooth, well poured, nice temp. A short mac followed and the espresso was really nice. Great bean selection.

Really nice cafe. Coffee was great, food was excellent too. Service a bit slow and staff although friendly could have been more attentive. Would definitely go back !
This is the much better little sister of Porgie and Mr Jones. Tasty menu and friendly staff with good, consistent coffee that hits the spot.
Went here for a quick catch up with a friend, and was waiting for a little while, the staff where very friendly and not busy at all. I had a strong latte and it was very drinkable, not too bitter. Is one of the better lattes i have had in a while.
I also had a small Egg and Bacon muffin,... Read more
Well recommended. Enjoyed the short Mac light texture with a slight bitterness that faded quickly. The staff were great, $3 per cup can't be beaten.
Always busy good coffee, fruit toast is great and now I want to work my way through the rest of the menu! Worth a look, and another....
Went to Snow Pony for breakfast on Father's Day. The place was packed! This did not seem to faze the staff, or the regular customers, who all seemed to know the drill: line up on the footpath and a friendly person will come around and take your name so that you get seated on first come first... If you drive too fast you will miss this fabulous blip on the Balwyn radar which is tucked away in a valley of non descript shops in a suburb formerly called Deepdene. If that's not enough to dissuade you, I suggest you forge onwards as this little gem of a place is the sister to Porgie & Mr Jones... Read more
