  The beans used here by cartel are just superior to anything else in Ballarat, I'm happy I came back here

  have now noticed a few people pouring here. I think that 2/3 know what they are doing. a lot of admiration for these guys sourcing some of Victoria's finest beans roasted by cartel roasters. the bean barn, self proclaimed specialty coffee is a long way behind in terms of quality of bean.

  I'm must be a sucker for punishment. In a hurry grabbed a take away and then I have to remind myself that "it's only coffee, Don't get so upset"... "I've not being diagnosed with some mystery illness" ... No just a mystery cup of brown water!

  Cool cafe, great spot to have an all day breakfast, friendly staff... Highly recommended. Coffee a bit weak though, but the rest makes up for it.

  Good place to drop into for a caffine hit on a trip. Friendly service, above average coffee. However dine in prices were higher than melbourne ~$10 for two white coffees. Certainly one we'll visit again.

  Dropped in for brunch and had such a great meal I came back for dinner. Superb coffee and the food reminded me of Lygon Street. Excellent service, friendly owner made sure my partner and I were comfortable and looked after. My new favorite spot and a benchmark in good food for Ballarat.

  Has to be te BEST Coffee available outside of Melbourne, plus the food is amazing, easy listening music and great staff. The two guys in there are smooth operators and make you feel welcomed the whole time, and you'll alway leave with a smile, and satisfied. We'll be coming back for sure .Thanks... Read more

  Very frothy cappuccino and watery long black. Might have been an off day but no like other high standards when previously in. The tele is a little disappointing for the vibe.

  Absolute benchmark in Ballarat hands down. They have just started doing dinners, which was just beautiful the owner has his chef talking about the sensational food they produce, the wine on offer, then the coffee just blew me away.... Thanks for such a great time again...

  good to see a Ballarat cafe sourcing quality beans. Surprised this place isn't more well known to locals, then again they probably couldn't handle too much change. Hopefully these guys keep pushing with Cartel.

  Nice place, coffee ok (mine was a little over extracted) & milk only luke warm. Staff friendly enough but no atmostphere in shop.

  Amazing coffee, food, service, w/ great atmosphere. All starts with the welcoming red shop front, the staff always friendly, even with children,. My latte just perfect followed up by a sensational breakfast. Highly recommend to anyone in the area

  Went on recommendation from other great reviews... K. Really, that coffee was over extracted, milk burnt to water. Gave it a second go next day ... Why did I bother!
