Bibo may not do the greatest coffee in Ballarat, but its the sort of Cafe you could sit in all day. Vintage couches up front, plush vinyl booths along the side and wallpapered with pages and pages of old woman's day magazines make Bibo feel like a funky caricature of your grandma's kitchen.
It all starts bad with it serving grinders coffee, the place looking like an old salvage yard. But you can at least move in a salvage yard. Food over priced, served by rude staff, won't be back
Went in today for the first time ever. Not bad. Service was helpful and polite. Coffee very strong and very slightly burnt. The food was really yummy and looked great on the plate.
Great vibe until you sit down. Coffee burnt and service not great. Tired.
Food is ok, coffee isn't
After coming in for an Iced Coffee with my partner we came up to the counter and ordered through the young man. He bluntly asked us not to sit outside because he had to pack up in half an hour- I replied with it's going to take us 2 minutes to drink our drink- he replied with- oh I guess that's... Read more
Coffee was way too hot. It's a decent set up there but the old guy It's be the owner and his bad moody attitude just ripped through the place. Not what it used to be sadly. Won't go again
Went up to Ballarat on the weekend for the Ballarat International Foto Bienalle.

Coffee was ordinary. Service appalling. Cook has lost the plot. Was better two years ago, but down hill from there. Gave second chance cause of atmosphere. No flavour in food. Cook (owner I think) in foul mood. Our meals came out staggered instead of together. High price for bad experience.
Absolutely love this place. Always swing by even if we have to detour an extra 100kms. The food is better than the coffee. But it\'s still good coffee with great vibe. Can sit there all day. Bill Murray makes a great soup.
We live in Melbourne and have visited family in Ballarat for over ten years. Took us a couple of years to sort our our favourite restaraunt, pub and cafe and we had settled on Bibo for our hot breakfasts and occasional foccacia lunch. Bibo has always had good service, coffee and food. But yesterday... Read more
