$3.40, $3.4, $3.4.... $4.10, $4.10! My past 5 visits, ordering the same coffee... I think they've just put their prices (or at least for double shot). That aside. The milk, coffee and atmosphere is great. I just don't like the roof. Get rid of the office style panels and paint the roof black...
Great food, great service. I recommend everyone to try the chocolate waffle and the meat lovers pizza. The iced chocolates are the best. The atmosphere is great.
Consistently great coffee - the Barun Burgar is just awesome - and you will lust over their enormous rough cut slab table....
2 Lattes, 1 Ristretto, 1 Flat White
When I saw this place had been given a 10 - I thought I'd better check it out... I was very impressed!
The coffee - espresso and milk was AMAZING. I went here for bacon and eggs here this morning (which was very tasty too) but the coffee surprised me by it's caramelly smoothness.... Read more
Know how to roast. Don't know how to make a latte.
Living on the other side of town I do not get to visit the barun much. In fact this is my first time at there new site. I miss the smallness and atmosphere of the old site, this new one is much more open and cafeteria like.
The coffee was still amazing I had a large strong cap with a Mexican... Read more
great coffee, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. good enough for me!
H E A V E N!!
After a trek across the baron espresso wastelands of Australia, I "Beanhunted" the Barun. This is Mecca for me the two pics I had were perfect. I chatted with Mark about all things coffee, his passion is intoxicating. As for the handbuilt roaster...."Awesome"!!

We tracked this one down from Beanhunter and the number of good reviews it had. We weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was great, the coffee was very good and the staff were brilliant. When we told them we were down from Brisbane for the TDU and on a coffee crawl one of the staff wrote down a hit... Read more
3 Flat Whites, 1 Latte
Look, when you first walk into this cafe, you do notice that it has all the "bells and whistles", however, the latte didn't match the look of the cafe itself. The coffee itself was well made (well textured milk, great shot pour), however, the bean lacked depth, flavour, and strength. The bean... Read more
2 Skinny Lattes
Picked up 2 takeaway coffees and a hot chocolate. Flat white was weak and tasted like decaf..:-(. Which is probably a one off as they are generally my favourite coffee supplier in Adelaide. Hot choc was a big success and my latte was decent.
I thought I had reviewed The Coffee Barun but it seems I haven't. How slack of me!
I have been coming here for a long while now, buying my beans and longing for their coffees. My first visits were when they were in the much smaller shop a few doors north of their current location. That... Read more
What a great place. Had a long black here and the taste was spectacular. Mate had a flat white Which looked Great. Long black lacked crema but taste made up for it. They roast onsite too.
Amazing and incredible. I Was hoping to find some great coffee and beans for sale whilst in Adelaide and I finally found something unique and impressive.
Great coffee every time, with a new and freshly roasted coffee experience each day...providing an air of excitement each day you... Read more
Coffee Brilliance..!
Great friendly service unique concept hardly seen in Adelaide, it\'s a pity of the location but I\'m sure it works great for them I just live to far away but it makes the trip on the way back from the Barossa one to look forward too..

Hat's off to these guys for creating something fantastic and original.
We've ventured here a couple of times and the coffee is absolutely fantastic. The passion is evident, the smell is awesome and the effort is on show for all to see. We also thought the food was really good and... Read more
I arrived in Adelaide yesterday and found the cafe using beanhunter, so this morning I went in to try a coffee. Was quite impressed with the coffee, they were using a blend they made called cowboy. The service was great, had a good chat to Mark whilst he was making coffee. I'll will be back for sure!
Heard good reviews and rolled up expecting good coffee. Flat White was OK: lacking body with a short, dull finish. My wife's Cap had good milk but once again the quality of the coffee was lacking. I'll stick my head in again when I'm next over that way to give it another chance.
This place is a must visit. The coffee never ceases to amaze. Great food and a really talented collection of staff who love coffee.
I got hooked to coffee thanks to the amazing ristretto that Mark pulled the 2nd time I went there. It changed my perspective completely. That was about 3-4... Read more

Coffee roaster Mark Barun is the owner of The Coffee Barun(play on his surname) just slightly north of Adelaide(closely surrounded by 3 shopping centres). He started out as a home roaster selling coffee online, but opened up almost 2 years ago to give the Adelaide public the opportunity to taste... Read more
Picked up some beans lastnight, absolutely magnificent quality and freshness! Can't wait to get home again to make another cup of that awesome coffee :)
With a true passion for Coffee, Mark and Kate make the Coffee Barun one of the best cafes I have been to in SA or any other state for that matter.
Friendly staff, great advice for the beginner or the experienced to try at home and the smell....oh that smell!! Freshly roasted beans,... Read more
The Coffee Barun is a MUST on the drive to work to get your day moving in the right direction. All right, I love my coffee. I mean love. And I have found THE place that loves coffee as much as me so I decided to share & give them my little bit of word-of-mouth.
