This place is an old fave, but needs to pull up its socks. Everything's a bit pedestrian, and it used to be great food, an original feel and great coffee. My tip: get rid of many of the 'extras' and get back to the good old pastas, pizza, wine and coffee!
I actually quite like this place. The coffee is on the large side but not too weak. I like the atmosphere - its a great place to people watch. The food is fine too.
Staff are not trained at all at this cafe - I asked them. They also lie about having skim milk - they don't. Paradiso use Brasilia coffee and I would rate it's long black as fair. Size of the cups is larger than normal, and this seems to be a selling point. The coffee is drinkable, however there are a number of cafe's nearby and I suggest you explore your options.
