Just recently moved to the 'east side' and was expecting big things considering an espresso cost $4.50 and Chianti's reputation in town. Wasn't let down. Coffee was smooth, clean, great flavours with tones of chocolate and licorice and pulled just long enough.
This is a luxe restaurant. Dinners are pricey but they usually let you in for coffee any time. You will need to book ahead for breakfast. Coffee is strong, creamy and never bitter. Even the decaf I had once was tasty!
Hutt St is as heavily saturated with cafes as anywhere else in Adelaide so it's nice to find a place as reliable as Chianti. Ever-reliable for quality coffee AND service, Chianti is one of the city's best restaurants but also caters for breakfast, or coffee anytime.
