Well....the aroma from coffee ..... bean roasted as you enter is a great way to start with.... for what is to come... Great to see a small LOCAL ROASTERY producing such amazing coffee. Enjoyable to visit ... i'll be back.

As per my first review, Pioneer continue to pump out incredible coffee. My piccolo was superb, with perfectly textured milk. One of the three coffee 'must sees' on the Sunshine Coast.

Pioneer Coffee Roastery is worth a visit. Before you walk into the cafe you see a simple sign stating the this is the home of the Australian and Queensland Barista Champion.

This cafe does have a "pioneer" feel about it. The decor is simple but the cafe is spacious and the coffee is very good. The service was good and it was worth the visit. Pitty that the Australian Barista Champ (2009) and QLD Barista Champ (2009 and 2010) wasn't there. Maybe next time!

Rainforest beans are beautiful. FW was excellent, and kids loved the hot chocolate. Try the nut/ chocolate factory next door for something sweet to go with your coffee

Pioneer know coffee and how to prepare it. I enjoyed my Peru vienna greatly. This place is lovely to visit while exploring Yandina. So random to have such good coffee in a little country town - very much worth the drive

I was a bit disappointed after reading so many good reviews. The coffee was good but the atmosphere was utterly depressing. It felt cold and silent. No music or ambience.

Took a detour on the way to the Eumundi markets to stop for a coffee and boy was it worth it. It was a quiet Wednesday morning and only one or two other customers came in while we enjoyed our coffee. Oh and two hands are required to move the seats out from the table, they are HEAVY! solid wood furniture :)

Always a nice coffee here. Its good to go if you want to poke around and look into a roasters world, the smells and sounds. If you go here for a cafe experience though you will find it lacking. Enjoy the coffee and make your own experience.

Had this cafe recommended by someone I met when I stayed here and boy am I glad he did! The service was exceptional, coffee was really nice giving you a choice of single origin or a blend. They roast there own coffee on site and has a great atmosphere with really nice natural decor!

pioneer roastery is a little out of the way, the coffee was good, nothing special. i love synesso's and i love boutique roasteries. its nice to be able to sit at a bar and watch the roasting in progress.

These guys are the original coffee roasters on the coast and even though the place looks very much like a tourist attraction they still pump out exquisite coffee's.
