  surprised to find one of my favourite brews here, merlo. very difficult to find in burleigh area. it was great to re-visit this excellent brew. the woodbox experience did not let me down, excellent

  Wood-box has worked hard to maintain consistency, and I continue to shake my head every-time I so enjoy so much a cup of coffee here that not only has the 'kiss of death' (in my experience to date) being labelled organic, but also comes from a 'major' coffee house like Merlo's that everyone seems...   Beautiful food, beautiful ambience and friendly staff. A nice unexpected surprise on our travels. Was surprised by use of Merlo coffee when there are so many other exciting and excellent local options but nonetheless coffee also better than average.

  The person who served me didn't know what a macchiato was, gathering by the conversation between what I would imagine to be the owner and server behind the Wega.

  Finally a place on the Gold Coast doing great things with Merlos' beans. Woodbox takes over from the previous unimaginatively named "Organic Cafe & store" and temporarily retains the latters signage if you seek this place out like I seriously recommend you do if only to babble incomprehensively...
