These guys and girls where smashing it out and I was surprised how quickly I did get my coffee, but after my first sip I wish they took at least a few more moments because it was bad. There wasn't enough sugar to help it. Sorry guys hit and miss.

Was quite a wait for my coffee, which I don't mind if its worth the wait. It wasn't. Milk texture was terrible and coffee lacked any type of flavour. On the plus size they had good service, a large range of beans to buy and gave me some good tips on what beans to use at home.

Merlo seems to be everywhere on the gold coast but if your going to get a good one this is where I thought I would. Merlo coffee is bitter and way too hot. This place is always packed and a lot of people swear by it but this is not a good coffee.

oh dear for me merlo has always been the fish n chip local dehli cupa average jo....I do scratch my head when they try to come across as a specialty coffee supplier. I'm sorry but this place really didn't make sence to me and I'm sure there are others whom feel the same way

Well if the judge of a successful cafe is people then merlo is successful but I personally think the better test is a good coffee.

The gold coast can be lacking in gastronomic sophistication at times but if you get past the mutton dressed as lamb and the Lexus driving private school parents that seem to flock here it's actually really good! Great coffee made by enthusiastic staff!

Its funny i have some friends work here people that are legit baristas and they have never stayed thier long. pretty nasty coffee and the yuppies flock none the less. I do however like the attached chocolate shop.

I like the idea with how the cafe is laid out. For merlo, its actually one of the nicer coffees I have had from the franchise but made far too weak and creamy for my likes.

This cafe had been incredibly underrated. I make a weekly trip for my 200 grams of beans and 2 free coffee all for $9. The coffee is always perfectly made and staff friendly.Great job guys

um pretty average to be honest. was dressed up as if to be a coffee specialty shop but realy nothing to it and it was pretty far out of the way, I've seen small cafes do a better job coffee was drinkable. there was 9 staff andonly one coffee machine in use and a massive line up?........
