  There are lots of cafes in Southport, but this place is definitely something different. We had a flat white and a long black. He pulls a double shot for everything apparently, so I am guessing that's why we had that beautiful crema on the top of the long black. The flavour was just as it should be.... Read more

  I still attend distractions daily. Working in southport I love the fact we have a great little coffee shop that always serves great coffee. The staff really make the place!!!

  Gave this place a visit over the weekend and I could apreciate that this place dosn't jump out at you like some cafes that talk a big game but don't back it up. Service was nice and the atmosphere was relaxing. Coffee was well presented but had a lingering after taste that was a little bit tart.

  ok so this place had really good reviews so I was very eager to try a cup. Was pretty standard. For me the extraction was to tight and you could taste it in the coffee. From what I can tell no doubt this review will be followed by alot of really good reviews hahaha any way just a bit of honest feed back.

  hmmm place seemed a little quiet when I popped in. I noticed that the Barista spent a fair bit of time on the coffee so I was excited to order one. coffee looked great but did not taste the best and there was much to the cafe. I will give points for the latte art tho

  I have to agree with the previous review it was pretty standard coffee it did have nice latte art how ever so bonus points for that. the place felt a lil clinicaly white and the chairs arn't that cumfy. but I would much prefer to walk the distnace to this cafe rather then go to the 2 !!!!! zarafas...   Just started work at southport and thought i would trust the reviews for this place, but really?? When i found this place in the deserted back street of southport i was expecting more than a yellow box!! Coffee average definitely not worth the walk! Will have to keep looking for new local.

  This is obviously a cafe for the Southport workers. It fits the bill perfectly. Service is fast and friendly and the coffee is very good. I wouldn't recommend it for a prolonged visit but it does work well for impromptu meetings or a morning coffee over the papers.

  Fantastic coffee i had from Adam at Distractions this morning. Great smooth texture and with a clean finish. This guy definitely knows what he is doing... Well done.

  This is a very good cafe. Don't know y that 2 views said they make standard coffee. Their coffee is very nice, fresh beans, gods quality at everything. I can say this is they make the best coffee in southport. And also, barista is a very funny guy, and he is very serious in coffee.

  Came back in to find the place still as charming as ever. Added bonus was the new additions to the menu! Mint hot chocolate was unlike anything I had tasted before and a new experience of gourmet sausage rolls topped it off. Staff were pleasant and engaging and easy to see loved his work!

  Just came back to Distractions after a month and I can't believe how great the coffee has gotten since last time. So smooth!! Great baquette also. Barista is very professional and you can tell he loves his craft. Friendly environment. If you are serious about quality coffee on the coast, this is the place.

  The first thing that you notice when you walk in the door is the welcoming attitude of Adam, the barista. The atmosphere is ok, with some nice paintings (available for purchase) on the walls and pleasing decor. The staff really lift the place.

  Jeffscuppa - sure you were here? Much to my disappointment, this coffee shop is yet to open on weekends... By far the best coffee in Southport - very smooth. Friendly staff, who even deliver in the rain!

  Distractions is just that a distraction. it is a great place to just unwind and have a great coffee. the staff are friendly and the food is great, tha atmosphere was delightful.
