Definitely a disappointment this morning. Service was great but the coffee was struggling to make par in my books so i never finished it. Had to chew gum to get the bad taste out. Certainly a big fall from last time I dropped by.

Nice style and fit out, it suited the atmosphere and vibe of the building. Food was great, nice and fresh. Our first round of drinks was good though a bit slow for an espresso and a tea. The dark horse blend was interesting and I was looking forward to trying a single origin but unfortunately the... Read more

Have always had great coffee here... one of the very few places in Brisbane where the coffee and the food are both very good. Ha ha Beanhunga ... so why did you have 2 then??

Have been meaning to write a review for some time since my visit. Had a few piccolos and despite the great atmosphere, was disappointed with the coffee. My breakfast was not great either. Will definitely give it another go however.

Shucked is in an area that can be a little tough to get a park. But once inside it's easy to forget that you are in a commercial area. The old building has nice wallpaper and makes good use of the kitsch table settings and ornaments.

The coffee was very toasty and floral. A great... Read more

Just returned home after enjoying brunch at Shucked in Newstead and all I can say is “Wow!” Just a few weeks ago I reviewed this place and asked the question “Why aren’t these guys open on weekends?” Obviously I wasn’t the only person; and soon after Shucked took this feedback on... Read more

Excellent coffee! They've done a great job with the place. Friendly staff and good menu. It's a cracker!

Deep in a comparitively undiscover-ed corner of semi-industrial, pre-gentrified Newstead sits an former minor industrial space handsomely wall-papered and strewn with an eclectic collection of furniture and kitsch. Shucked is welcoming and homey. They seem to serve a couple of coffee blends and... Read more

We decided to check out Shucked on the recommendation of Adam Thompson, and it certainly lived up to his praises. I was also interested to see how the Blackstar coffee would come out, having been disappointed on a recent trip to Blackstar - and my double ris flat white was close to perfect, well... Read more

That couch is really chilled, it was a great place to sit and chill. Both coffees were very tasty and the little cake was great. No pretentious at all, I'd definitely recommend it.

Some friends told me to check this place out as it was their new office coffee break stop. Super happy they bothered to tell me. Food was frikin delicious. Coffee was pretty spot on. Again I'm not on the black star bandwagon and prefer other blends and roasters. But the coffee was made so damn well... Read more

Second visit, still really good 'vibe', Charlie the barista remembered me from the first time and introduced herself, lovely and friendly. Had a lovely prepared flat white on the house blend and a very tasty short Mac in the dark horse. Wished this place was closer to where I lived as it would... Read more

Shucked is doing some great things!

Fresh, creative food... a really cool, warm and welcoming vibe... comfortable spaces that are family (child) friendly.

The Black Star Coffee is great - I haven't dropped in a for a while but I much preferred the Revolution Espresso... Read more

Dropped the car in for a much needed service and stopped in for a coffee. Found it to an OK sort of of experience, my two coffee's were well made by the barista but found the flavours to be rather savoury and a touch ashy in the aftertaste.

Do appreciate the effort they are making... Read more

Great service good winter food menu and nice GF sweets. My girls latte is passable but not great. However, my aero press single origin Costa Rica coffee is so good. Smooth, touch sweet and nice lemon and lime favor. Higher recommend .

Lovely aesthetics and very good service. Coffee was quite hot but a simple but enjoyable single origin taste and reasonable latte art. Food was very good. Very hot place though. Hope they get some serious air-conditioning for summer.

Woah! The folks in the industrial area in Newstead are seriously lucky to have Shucked Espresso move in on Creswell St. The Melb'nesque hole in the wall is soon to open up to a full shop complete with vintage wallpaper. The current 'under construction' version is pouring smashingly good Black Star... Read more

Really like this place, the design elements are beautiful and well thought out with a clear vintage/kitsch styling. The staff were quite friendly and warm which is a massive plus for any cafe these days. Coffee was a bit chocolatey for my taste but still enjoyable and obviously enjoyed by many as... Read more

This place just gets better - it's an amazing find. Terrific coffee, delightful staff, delicious food, good value. After three or four visits, I had to post another review and increase the score, because they deserve it.

Probably my fav coffee in the area. And there are a lot to choose from here! Food is very good too. Coffee is lovely and full of flavour yet is smooth and leaves no bitter after taste. Closest thing to a Melbourne coffee in Brisvegas.
