Haven't been here for years. Seems a bit fresher looking. Long Black was very good. Water temp too hot and was served in a mug (thought they only did that at Starbucks;-)

From the outside, you get the feeling The Coffee Laboratory was a local store and in some respects, you still do … it is however, more of a ‘hidden Brisbane coffee gem’, as Mug Shots tweeted. Inside the treasure appears, there is an amazing array of historic paraphernalia … you can... Read more

Wasn't expecting much from the outside, but inside it is a gem! Had a great Indian monsoon piccolo. Going to come back here soon!

Troy is a lovely guy and does a great job. Happy to have a chat and talk about coffee, the roasting process, and loves showing off his big old French roaster! Great espresso on his monsooned malabar.

The barrista has moved on and it just ain't the same. Owners running it now are friendly and trying hard but have a way to go to learn their beans.

Will definitely head back here for Saturday morning coffees. Not much from the outside but inside is full of atmosphere and great gadgets for coffee lovers. My coffee was up there with the best I've had in Brissy.

The worst coffee I have ever had. The service was extremely slow as there were too many clients according to the owner. 40 mins wait is not acceptable though. The boy behind the machine didn't understand what quarter strength was. My flat white was served in an odd cup with flaky edge that touched... Read more

Not your usual grease pit in a semi commercial location. Food is fresh and basic but just what one needs and has the odd special day for something different. Love the curry days :-) A great space and one is surround by lots of collectables and some / many are in working condition. Troy is... Read more

Great atmosphere - very surprising given it's location in a light industrial precinct and a very plain shop front.

These guys are about as passionate about coffee as I've come across in Brisbane and it shows in the product.

A coffee oasis in an industrial precinct. Staff friendly and take their beans seriously.
