Unfortunately I was quite underwhelmed and disappointed in this cafe. The service and atmosphere weren't bad. The only problem was, I asked for a double ristretto and what I got looked more like a double espresso. The coffee was thin and watery so under extracted. When you have milk in your drink,... Few cafés have seen the type of mixed reviews that Bellissimo in Wandoo St New Farm has attracted. It was because of this that I chose not to review this café after my first visit - deciding instead that at least a follow-up visit was required so that I could give a more rounded view of... Have driven past here many times usually after visiting Campos. So this morning I thought, nope give it a go. Staff were prompt and friendly and the set up is definately all coffee orientated. Lots of choices of beans for sale, love seeing the roster in store. Definately a popular place with a... Read more

I went with a mate who had had a couple of good doppios in the preceding weeks, but we were both somewhat disappointed with their product this day. We tried different blends and were both frowning from the first sip. To be blunt, the espresso tasted watered down and lacked complexity. It was... Read more

Bellissimo Coffee is yet another gem in Wandoo St, Fortitude Valley. When we visited Campos Coffee we saw heaps of people standing under a shop front – a quick investigation revealed Bellissimo Coffee. It took a while, but we found our way back and were keen to sample the coffee – one of us had... Read more

Edit-16/02/2013: Apologies to the @Beanbrewding Boys, they nicknamed Wandoo St. Changed accordingly.
Disclosure: I always visit each cafe at least 3 times before I post a review. I visit at busy times, quiet times and different times of the day to try to sample different Baristas. I... Read more

Adam's review was on the money.
Good - Fitout, service, atmosphere. Love the roaster going in the corner. Service was fast and friendly, and the place just looks cool.
Bad - coffee... Doppio was overextracted, very bitter, which hid any characteristics of the... Read more

Had a Yirgicheffe and a Blue Batak espresso here.
It took them ages and I think they pulled them more than once.
I dont know much about Conti Machines, however these were pulled on the duel boiler machine they had there and came out flaming hot. Must have had their temps set... Read more
Went in with the lady & made the mistake of asking for a specific blend. Should know better. The beans were a bit stale and I'm sure if I'd stayed with the house blend which was going gang busters, I would have loved the coffee. Sat upstairs & had 2 gluten free pastries which were delicious. The... Read more

I like this place, barista was very friendly! Coffee was well made!
average as coffee, overextracted ristretto. weak as latte for a triple shot. overated to be honest!
pretty average coffee , considering the location and very strong competition in this area .... coffee also was too cold .
Positives: open later than most, friendly service, good atmosphere, fairly good coffee. Negatives: stuffy and hot upstairs - where there are crap tables and chairs. Overall I would go back but not if there was somewhere else I could try:)
Was driving to New Farm for a coffee after the Qld Medical Orchestra concert and saw this place with their rather obvious signage promoting past glories (awards). Happy to say its still good.
Friendly service and had two superb piccolos. Nice froth, hot enough and strong enough. (current... Read more
Really not impressed. Has a huge sign "Award Winning Coffee in 2010" which sends off warning bells for me - those who speak the loudest don't usually live up to their exclamations. I ordered a latte and sent it back because it was too weak. I was then given an Italian espresso blend as the base... Read more

I've never seen so many grinders in a row, I like the concept.

Acceptable strong flavoured coffee if not very complex. Friendly service though a little rustic. Atmosphere is ok but they need more seating
I am very suprised to read the bad reviews on this coffee shop. This coffee shop has served repeatedly consistent and brilliant coffee everytime. I have a perfect latte from last visit. my friend love his long black. Service is excellent. All other customer look happy as well. I highly recommend... Read more
I was suprised when I read the bad reviews for Belissimo Coffee - Mark and the boys are producing fantastic coffee.
Every single cup I've had has been sensational - they know exactly what they're doing and the unique roasts they're producing have so many great flavour... Read more
Have to say the staff have been quite prompt and friendly on the couple if times I have been here, although I was a little put off listening to a staff member talk about coffee to a customer once with a tone of smugness. Coffee was smooth and nice but I felt like it needed something in the blend to... Read more
I was drawn in by the medals. It was ok but no where near some of the other specialty offerings I have had
