  Many people in Brisbane have memories of their grandmother taking them to the original Shingle Inn in Edward St. This Shingle Inn cafe does remind me somewhat of the original cafe. The cafe sells nice cakes and coffee and is worth a visit. The coffee is reasonable here.

  Cakes, indeed! Coffee, forget it! I'm sure it's a popular joint for tea tottlers but if you are a serious coffee drinker then avoid this joint.
