Asked for a double ristretto and the staff member looked at me like I'd asked for a piece of Moon rock. Had no idea what I was talking about. Then asked for a double macchiato and she took my order. When the coffee arrived, I wished I'd ordered a milkshake instead.

Love the coffee, food and French chic but the taking and delivery of orders could really do with an overhaul. They've had this problem since they opened and it's still not sorted. It'll be great when they do.

ok, ok I'm a lover of all things French, so I really LOVE this cafe. The atmosphere is fan-bloody-tastic! The fruit tart & sourdough my hubby & I had were out of this world. The coffee wasn't really all that incredible, but I will say they didn't burn my soy latte (which is always a bonus)...... Read more
I really like this cafe. There is a great atmosphere It's always very busy and often difficult to find a seat. The coffee is great and the deserts are divine even if the service lacks a little. After reading the previous review I'll be asking for a coffee card considering I've already had many.
This place has a fantastic location. The outdoor area is awesome! The coffee was okay and the food was not so great but okay. The sweets are better than the savoury stuff. A great place to chill out.

Nice setting and good looking cakes etc but diabolical service and ridiculously slow at clearing tables. Some more organisation please!

Coffee is bitter, staff seem a bit inexperienced. Pastries and cakes are excellent but over priced.
I work in the area and when the French House opened it was such a hype. I would visit frequently at the beginning then slowly cut down my visits until I stopped going. I personally think that this place is over rated and pricey...... For what they offer. If you want change in a menu well this isn't... Read more
This cafe/bakery seems to have been inspired by the Pauls bakery chain you find in France and England, though combined with the Australian need for great coffee, and the Danks St need for oppulant decor and premium prices. Though having said that, the $7 chocolate eclair seems perfectly priced once... Read more
