Not great coffee and it's too expensive for the quality. The guy serving (Ralph perhaps?) puts on an act for customers and would do anything to make you pay more. The atmosphere is boring, but the food is nice. wouldn't go back though
I frequent Ralph's quite regularly, having friends based in the physics building at USYD. The coffee is average at best and very dependent on the barista who makes it. Despite using Caffe Aurora coffee (terrible stuff) the equipment is good and produces a strong shot. You wouldn't normally think that a cafe in a sports building would be any good, but Ralph's breaks the rule. It's not the most amazing coffee in the Newtown area, but it's good. The shot was full of flavour, but the milk had been over done and lacked texture. However, for the price it can't be beat!
