Great fit out, friendly staff, and solid coffee. My Kenyan pourover had perfect smoothness, with great lime and current notes. It was a relief finding a decent cafe open on a saturday in Sydney city.

Wasn't overly impressed after making the effort to get there. Maybe it was underwhelming due to how much it had been built up in my mind. In any case I won't be hurrying back. The takeaway from Reuben Hills I had on the way there was far better.

Ok coffee, bad customer service as the brunette girl at the counter was not interested to answer my questions about the counter food - she even rolled her eyes at me before responding. I'd suggest that if she didn't have the desire to serve customers, she should washing dishes out the back.

My uni local. Always so impressed with how relaxed these guys are, even when completely under the pump. Also, I love the fact I can get a decent filter for the same price as your normal milk coffee. Simple, nice fit-out. Service is short but efficient. The coffee though was the best I have ever had from any of the Mecca's. Really taking it up a notch. And after all, its what's in the cup that counts most.

My uni local - seriously worth checking out if you're at uts/ultimo tafe. By far the best coffee in the area - milk coffees are smooth and silky and blacks generally well balanced. The atmosphere is cool and the staff friendly!

I work right near this new Mecca store + up the road from their roastery. Finally got to hit this shop this morning. Piccolo was amazing, long black was even better. Full flavour profile. very very good coffee. my espressos and macs have been crafted very well each time. I also had an areopress one time which was quite interesting, the barista who made them for us was quite nice and informative, told us a lot about it. the sourdough with avocado was also delicious

I was disappointed to be honest. I think expectation can and did influence reality. I was expecting to be wowed, but left non plussed. It was good enough. The filter one of the better ones I had in Sydney, the flat White full of caramel sweetness, but didn't really push the boundaries of what coffee can be

These guys know coffee as evidenced by recent success in barista champs. I had their El Salvador SO as a piccolo and it was perfectly extracted with big sweet fruit and berry flavours. Was only just hot enough but no doubting quality.
