Thoroughly enjoyed drinking my coffee out of the rain watching all the people filing past. Coffee was good, not the best I've had in the city, that title belongs to Vella Nero at present.
The service was quick and friendly. Coffee was brought out to me.
The atmosphere... Read more

A very smooth long black. One of the best I've had in Sydney.
Was very disappointed with my coffee. Considering this ranks in the top 5 for Sydney cafes. Granted my expectation was high as all the other four make a great coffee everytime....
i had a skim flat white and even the milk could not mask the bland and burnt flavour, milk was way too hot... Read more
The coffee here is really good. Lining up to wait can be annoying but I guess that's what you do for a decent coffee!
Cool setup but other than that don't know what the fuss is all about. Ordered a 3/4 latte and it was on the really weak side. Could barely taste the coffee, milk texture was nice. Might pop in again just to see if it was a one off thing. Hope ill get to taste what everyone else is loving about it.
I was walking along George St and came upon this place. Good find.
There is extremely limited seating and so takeaway was my only option. It's obviously a busy place with at least three baristas working two machines.
I ordered a cap. It came up quite promptly given... Read more

What a place! On a recent trip to Sydney I was able to enjoy Espresso Workshop three days in a row. Firstly, this place is extremely popular. Yet, despite the assembled crowd waiting for their morning fix, they absolutely churn out consistently fabulous coffee. Second, the coffee is great (hang... Read more

A friend of mine wanted to meet up for a Christmas season coffee and as he's moved from working near Circular quay, I took the opportunity to introduce him to Workshop Espresso.
There were no complaints about his mocha and my flat white was up to the usual high standard I've come to expect... Read more

The coffee is very good here. Espresso is consistently delicious and milk-based coffee is always top notch. A couple downsides: service is a little cold and robotic and on a cold morning it's not that fun waiting 10 mins in the crowd for your coffee. Overall, definitely worth a try if you're walking past.
Great coffee, efficient friendly service, incredibly central. Not much else to say. My piccolo was ordered and prepared in a couple of minutes, it tasted great and there was no fuss in spite of the decent mid-afternoon queue.
There are perhaps more appropriate cafes close by for... Read more

Always good! Been coming here for a few years, whenever I am able to pop in and never had a bad coffee here. Fantastic, friendly service, I don't even mind that its on busy George St!
Very busy but a good place for a quality takeaway on George st. Nice fitout and friendly staff. Not the most amazing coffee going, but consistent.
Great coffee if you're happy to deal with the crowds and the wait. A real standout in the Sydney scene and worth a visit.
1 Long Macchiato
Generally a great place for a hit, especially on weekdays. Unfortunately, quality of the shots on weekends seems to be a little more inconsistent.
Don't be surprised, or put-off, if you arrive to find a large crowd milling about the counter on busy George St. As long as you hear your... Read more
Coffee was great. Only real competition for these guys in the CBD is around the corner on King St. Staff were reasonably friendly as well for how busy they were. A nice change from my experiences in Sydney.

Not great experiences here.
First time they served me my espresso in a paper cup. I didnt ask for takeaway, and who serves espresso in a paper cup?
Second time I had a long black. I was charged $4.50. That's almost five bucks for a coffee! I was offended but thought I'm prepared to... Read more
If I'm ever in Sydney CBD, i try to get to this place for an amazing brew.. Just love the stylish wood fit out, and their 2 mirage espresso machine side by side... always good coffee here!!!

It's the first time I have had the pleasure of frequenting this establishment and it is apparent why there is always a line up. The piccolo was sensational, a rich espresso with no bitter aftertaste on the palette. Well worth the visit!
A great city cafe. Service was prompt. My Saturday coffee was better than Friday. This could be due to a more relaxed weekend vibe. Great effort considering the volume of coffee these guys are pumping out during the week. A good first time experience.
Always fantastic coffee. I deliberately get off the bus at the QVB and catch the train @ Town Hall just so I can get my fix. I would say this is the best coffee I have had in Sydney. Considering I always get take away, I believe the service is very good, but not amazing. It is a small cafe - but a... Read more
A tip for this place is to watch the person who ordered in front of you. they move quick and give little notice to who ordered who and this place is busy! and so it should be! the coffee is one of the best places to go to get a takeaway in the city's center!

Impressive set up. Consistent piccolos. Considering the constant line up - These guys go alright
Used beanhunter to find this place and so glad I did!!
Usually crazy busy but that's just because they're usually brilliant. Coffee always spot on, food however is a bit meh. Service is usually great and the atmosphere is always fun with a twist of cool professional efficiency.
I find the Sydney cbd to be a black whole for good coffee, with a few notable exceptions. One such exception being these guys. I'm yet to have a bad coffee, whether have in or takeaway. The service is what one would expect at a busy and small cafe - it's hardly personable, but it's courteous and... Read more
