Picked a good day / moment to drop in today for a latte over an informal meeting with work colleague. This cup was even better than many of the recent very good cups I'd had here of late. Today, a truly delicious flat white, subtle vanilla, light milk chocolate tones... Served at the perfect... Read more
Had a macchiato and the flavours were very colourful. Really enjoyed the shot. A small nice setup with great atmosphere but I think it's a little too small.
Tried the new Mecca flagship store at 8 chifley square, coffee tasted dreadful here. From hear I went into chifley plaza where there are much better options. I usually associate Mecca with quality coffee but this spot never hit the mark for me. Nice set up really bad coffee. I didn't ever expect to... Read more
1 Long Macchiato, 1 Espresso
Great coffee and excellent service! Thanks
I've been here on two occasions and both times ordered a latte takeaway. Each time the crema was washed out and the coffee was just milky and watery. was disappointing because I heard good things about this place. Seeing the baristas making the coffees have here I can see that care is taken in... Read more
This is the one joint in Sydney that I return to every time I come. Unfortunately (fortunately?) I don't get here often. Singles are always top notch and extracted perfectly, apparently latte is smooth and excellent temp and the food (albeit simple) is delicious. Will return fo shiz...
Very busy place, yet the service was still good. Coffee was good, better as a sitdown than as a takeaway though.
2 Skinny Lattes, 1 Espresso
best of all mecca coffee shop.
Nice find on my short stay in Sydney. I'll be back!
Excellent cafe, great service and exceptional coffee.
Went back after a while away and tried a cap. It was def better than your average cuppa, so would drop by again. Strong and interesting enough. Good service even when busy.
Great little spot/
The coffee was great, but can't say it was a stand out in comparison to some others. Would still have one if passing by.
Piccolo of the house blend (mostly Costa Rican) "Dark Horse" was excellent. The best thing about my visit was the huge smile of front guy (Mark?). Despite being kind of busy after the lunch rush, he was really happy to discuss beans and stuff. It's those little moments that make my day when the... Read more
This is one of the best places to get coffee in the Sydney CBD. There are a stack of people passing through this small cafe, so based on that alone, you know you are in for a good coffee!
Coffee again was top shelf. Could only fault the visual look of the coffee, otherwise top coffee.
This is an outstanding espresso bar and one of the best in Sydney for sure.
I was in the city today attending a book launch at Dymocks and afterwards my colleagues said they wanted to grab a coffee. I told them they were in luck as great coffee was to be had just a short walk away. My reputation for knowing good coffee was upheld by the usual high standard at... Read more
1 Flat White, 1 Long Black, 1 Soy Latte
Always good and a really interesting blend. Only negative is that to get any flavour in a milk based drink, you really need to ask for a double - which at Mecca prices makes it an expensive coffee.
Had a single origin espresso. Very smooth and sweet. Worth the wait. Very busy cafe. If you like a bit of quiet space this is probably not a cafe for you.
Been here a few times now on different trips to sydney. Always great coffee, service and tasty food options.
The location is a strength and a weakness. Central for city dwellers, but noisy as can be with traffic on King St rushing by.
Macchiato had intriguing flavours, a truly unique blend.
This place is amazing, made a side trip last time I was in Sydney to try this place out. They are on top of every facet of the coffee game these guys. The ristretto I ordered was nice and short, thick and the golden crema was very aromatic. The follow up Latte was also cracking with a creamy gloss... Read more
