    It's a hole in the wall with a HUGE vibe...non of that barista attitude, just really good coffee. I had the single origin ( a Brazilian Fromm campos) it was sweet and chocolatey that left a great flavour in your mouth. Best coffee I've had in ages

    Still delivering the goods. Change of ownership had me wondering, but apart from being a little understaffed and underkitchened when busy still a place I look forward to coffee and the food is just that little bit different (and better) than typical cafe fare. Well done guys.

    Beautiful location for a cafe. Gorgeous. I'd been told this was better Campos than they make in Newtown - and I had to find out if this was true. It was good coffee, don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't put in the same boat as Newtown Campos. Still very impressive, and a great atmosphere.

    Nice coffee place in this pedestrian lane-way. Tables on the street and a bustling feeling spilling out from the shop. Coffee was very good and staff helpful. You might find it busy on week-ends.

    I'm glad The Penny Royal was recommended to me.
    It's now a regular for when I'm occasionally in Mosman.
    So much so that I was extremely disappointed over the New Year period that they were closed on my last visit.

    This place is so tucked away but definitely the highlight of the coffee experience in Mosman. The competition is quite fierce in this area but I have never been let down by the coffee here.

    Don't be put off by crowd and cramped quarters- efficient staff and awesome coffee. Wait out front and they'll take your order. Amen.

    Though I was being lead down some strange back lane for no good reason, then to my delight . . . Penny Royal ! Using Campos, maybe even better then down in Camperdown. With great atmosphere and even better people watching. This place is well worth the trip down the back lane.

    Best little gem. Awesome atmosphere and the guys working there make the whole experience very enjoyable. Very good coffee. Will go there every time is pass through mosman.

    Don't expect anything more than coffee, small spot with very places to sit and the people keep q'ing up....that's because the coffee is rich and delicious. In my top 5 spots anywhere for the coffee but marked down slightly because so cramped.

    How do you get consistently great coffee, really good atmosphere and excellent service every time you go to get a coffee! I don't know - ask the guys at Penny Royal. Went there again a couple of days ago and was lovin it! Well done to Bo and his barista's. Will easily go back asap. Thx Phil

    Consistency has been better the last few months, before that some times hit and miss. May have to wait a while if a pump class has just finished at the gym across the road, but worth the wait.

    Don't let the size of this place put you off. Great coffee and service. Limited menu, but that doesn't matter.

    Cool spot really nice place to sit if you can get a seat and friendly staff. The coffee is nothing special...certainly not bad but you would go here for the vibe not the coffee. That being said when im around there i usually drop in for an espresso. The slayer sticker on the machine makes me smile everytime.
