Don't get it. What's so special about this place? Coffee ok, food ok, service just ok. Nothing special at all.
I've been a fan of Deus for a long time but usually only go during the weekdays to avoid the exorbitant 10% weekend service charge they lob on your bill.
The coffee is generally consistent, strong and the right temperature, haven't really gone wrong here.
I love the... Read more
Have been here a few times as we really enjoy the ambience. Coffees are generally good, bordering on great; today's were just good. My friend ordered a toasted sandwich, which she said was nondescript, but tasty and satisfying.
Great coffee, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way just for a takeaway coffee. Food and atmosphere are amazing - if you head here then have a sit down and enjoy it.
This is a great overall experience. Communal seating with a rustic feel. Coffee is consistent and the meals are always fresh.
There's a serious lack of heavy machinery in most cafes. Deus isn't most cafes.
The coffee's good, but not really worth going out of your way for. What you would

Yes this place gets busy, and when we first got there I doubted we would find a table, but a waiter promptly found one for us.
The food and coffee were brought to us surprisingly quickly despite the number of people there. The coffee was great, not the best I\'ve ever tried but good... Read more
Came for breakfast and had a flat white which was poorly presented, and didn't have a nice texture or particularly good flavour. Still better than other places, but nothing to write home about. Food was nice, very happening atmosphere, maybe a tad too loud for a good conversation.
Have to agree, the vibe in the place is fantastic. Love the artwork and the bikes next door. Foodwise the lemon and strawberry crepes are to die for.
What's not to love?
Probably the hippest and best cafe in town. Unique ambiance blending custom bikes, pop art, street fashion and superb food and coffee. Justifiably popular so often crowded
Great coffee, the new barista is fast and makes good coffee. I usually go there for the food but now I can also have a nice cup of coffee.
Coffee is pretty good, but having to fight for a table everytime you go and paying too much for the food that you can get much better elsewhere takes away from the good coffee and " cool " surroundings
Have been several times now; coffee consistently good (haven't had a bad one), but not truly exceptional; the food has been well-presented, fast, and delicious (and the server has been more than happy to talk about dietary requirements); the atmosphere is wonderful; the service pleasant.
