  Double ristretto and a pic. Ristretto was spicy but too long to enjoy. The piccolo on the other hand was great. Would like to return for a second opinion tho.

  I tried this place out with my brother and thought both the riz and pic were great! Unfortunately the riz was made a little longer than I would like there was still plenty of flavor.

  Grumpy ladies and average coffee and poor food. The aesthetic and coffee menu promise much more, but on closer inspection you aren't made to feel welcome, the espresso is thin and bitter, and the funky wall decor is the only thing working in the fit out.   I decided to try out this cafe after some good reviews here and I was not disappointed. I have been several tomes now and the coffee has been consistently good. It is full flavored and very smooth with a subtle after taste. The venue is basic but adequate. The food is tasty and fresh which is a bonus.

  With so many cafe’s to choose from on Darling Street, True Religion really stands out. It’s a cute little cafe with fantastic coffee! Summer (owner) and the crew make the time to get to know customers and really make you feel at home.

  The Girls Sumur and Elisa are just lovely. They work like Trojans, the place is spotlessly clean, service is quick and coffee very good and always consistent. You will not fault the friendly service or the coffee experience. It is also dog friendly as are just about all café's on Balmain.Read more

  AMAZING AMAZING coffee. The girls are lovely and always take time to talk to you. Yhe coffee if so good that i drive there on weekends and will go out of my way to get a one. Great little cafe and brilliant service.

  I'm sitting in here right now and love it. Great coffee with about 5 times as much flavour as bertoni. Lovely ladies working with passion and for me the best cafe in balmain. And the food? Very tasty and not wanky. Only thing it needs is air conditioning, but hey - winter is just around the corner anyway.

  The competition for cafes in Balmain is of a high standard, and True Religion has recently arrived and is now firmly established as my favourite by a long way.   This place is awesome. They have their own blend of coffee roasted which is just the right mixture of chocolatey and nutty to make you want more and more... They also have a featured single origin coffee each week which is cool.

  First thing I noticed was the aroma, dark, warm and full. Solid double ristretto flat white with a lovely unique flavour, topped with not so glistening and slighty bubbly milk. Taste 8/10, Smell 9/10, Delivery and Atmosphere 5/10
