Coffee wasn't bad, a little milky for my taste.
The service was excellent. Order was taken as soon as I walked in and coffee came out quickly. The barista was happily chatting away with someone at the counter.
The place had a great atmosphere, a really cool fitout and... Read more
Great piccolo, great service. Well worth a visit if in the mountains. Real coffee! Well done!
I really enjoy it here. Quite good coffee, excellent waffles, lovely staff and good atmosphere.
Fantastic coffee, great service. Highly recommended. I live in Katoomba so am spoiled for choice, but always get my daily coffee from True to the Bean.
1 Cappuccino, 1 Cold Drip, 1 Short Macchiato
snuck in this morning, introduced myself, and had a piccolo.
while it was a little hot, the FRR was singing that beautiful song it sings.
the crew introduced me to the special fancy coffee machine, what an amazing machine.
the second wave has arrived and is sublime,
Yes. Look at my score.
Had a brew yesterday and hv to admit been caffeinated by Lisa recently at Caffe off Piste in nxt village so bar was high
A very cool cafe with staff who take great pride in coffee. Not much room to seat but cool inside. Waffles looked good!
*** NO EFTPOS *** Good coffee, although I'd be truly surprised if it were the best in Katoomba. The staff are friendly and efficient, however the waffles, about which I'd heard so many good things, were dry and cold.
Didn't meet expectations. A little burnt finish and milky rather than robust. Good not great. Would try it again.
Take away FW was okay, didn't give me the wake up I normally need, but great service and the waffles look good...
Small but full of awesomeness. Great bean and well pulled. Milk done to perfection. Definitely a place to visit.
Coffee was ok but sadly not as spectacular as I would have hoped. Nearby busker made the experience a very quick one.
Very impressed with this little place, the Barista/owner was super coffee geek and was more than happy to talk coffee and swap knowledge. I had a strong flat and a nice and short double ris of the Nicaraguan. Both were very well executed. Definitely worth stopping into.
First coffee good. Second latte made by Mrs was very poor. Waffles very disappointing. Wouldn't go back
Fab coffee but their famous waffles were just ok. I'd go again for the smooth espresso time after time. Really nice little place with very friendly staff
Quirky in appearance but serious where it counts. Robust coffee with Belgian waffles. Wish I could take the whole place home to be the new local. Definite visit if you miss the bean.
Great coffee! Wonderful service. Best in Ktown
Standout coffee shop in a town full of niche eateries. Only small but worth it for the coffee alone
Great coffee. However it's by far the service that sets this cafe apart!!!! They are happy to chat and give advice on other cafes and things to do in Katoomba!!!
Coffee wasn't as good as expected. The cafe was also too quiet even with other customers there- no music and because the cafe is tiny, made my friend and I feel like we were being listened to!
Had a really great, proper, punchy, crema-y, love-filled short black here, the staff were friendly and I'll definitely be back to try a waffle one day, they looked about ten kinds of delicious.
Lisa is, as everyone says, a coffee geek from way back. You go to this place for the coffee, which is consistently beautifully executed. Not much offered in food to go with it. The waffles are fine, if you like that sort of thing, but it's the coffee that counts here.
Surprisingly nice doppio with the single origin of the day (can't remember what it was). Friendly staff. Didn't try the waffles, though they did smell good.
Such a friendly cafe, great feel and very cool. The owners are clearly passionate about their coffee, which is demonstrated in the equipment they use and the beans they grind.
My double ristretto flat white was very satisfying. Nutty with a mild acidic after taste, and the milk was very... Read more
