  My flat white is very nice, and my daughters babycino is just as I like it: lots of froth. The atmosphere and view is surprisingly good. A slight aftertaste from the coffee, but no too nasty.

  Nice espresso, very dark and glossy with lots of up front punch, nutty. Not much body in this blend but a pleasant taste.

  Latte had OK flavour but a little hot. Tempted to mark down atmosphere as it is next to local (Liberal) politician's office!

  Nice set out with friendly staff. Know there stuff with coffee (expresso and doing so cool siphon stuff) - haven't had a bad one and latte art as a plus.

  Out of filter coffee when I was here, so can't comment.
  Cafe almost empty when I was here, however despite that, the espresso was under extracted and my flat white was both over extracted, and oily. Not sure what the coffee standard is in Canberra, but I don't think Lava Espresso is worth... Read more

  didnt expect this from cooleman court but this is a very nice place with better than average coffee have only been here for a takeaway piccolo and am quite impressed wasnt amazing but good. cool looking space too.

  Great coffee, never burnt or lukewarm. Very attentive and friendly service. Small but comfortable and very clean seating area. I like to get breakfast at nearby AD's cafe, but I grab a coffee afterwards from Lava.

  Superbly made coffee. Sunday arvo cold outside, inside lava is a haven from winter. Latte and flat white ordered, came silky, perfect temp,and luscious. Had to have two. Well done lava, keep it going.

  Great coffe, and open on a Sunday - that's a plus in Canberra.
  
  Staff really knew their stuff, I was able to have a 5 min chat while my puor-over was prepared. Reasonable prices and a good selection of Sensory Lab beans available.

  great little spot. The crew is friendly and the coffee is the best. I will drive across town to have a coffee from them. i love the decor and the uncluttered feel. The crew really know their coffee - just ask them what the 'undertones' are in the current blend - lol Well done boys! Suz

  Good coffee, great service. There are 2 cafe really close and this is the better of the 2 by a long shot. The only thing that made me a little nervous was one the person serving me didn't know what the house beans were
