Picked to go in the lunch time rush, so they were obviously busy. However running two transactions at once from the till makes for confusion.
Coffee was mellow, good all round coffee. Sandwiches were great... Have returned to wt them again.

Been here several times and my verdict for coffee still remains the same-- good body but as per usual tastes burnt and on the bitter side. I'm sure it will get better soon.

On the bright side the awesome and very unique atmosphere makes up for the coffee!

I've been aware of Mood Food & Co. for a while now (since it opened), but have never actually felt any desire to go in until this morning when it was the only cafe in Braddon that looked like we might get a coffee within 20 minutes of sitting down.

I'm really glad that I came here because it was actually very refreshing. It's not a typical 'Lonsdale Street' cafe... In fact, it has a very modern Australian feel to it. I like the fact that the inside feels as if it has been hewn from stone. The only problem I suspect people would have with it is that it doesn't have the same eclectic familiarity as the surrounding cafes... but that's an entirely subjective opinion so your safest bet is to just try it out and see how you like it.

The cappuccino was nice. They use an Ona bean (a custom blend) that is smooth and toasty. It was not astringent at all and was very pleasant to drink. It wasn't spectacular, but it also wasn't bad. It was simply a good cup of coffee... The only (minor) issue with it was that the foam on top was barely 2 mm thick. This doesn't bother me, but some people take their foam very seriously. Perhaps the barista just needs to be aware.

My wife's long black was apparently very enjoyable. Fruity, slightly acidic, and full bodied. My guess is that they use one of Ona's single origins here (but I am not sure).

    Cool cafe...
